Nothing Better than New Years in the Amazon
Harley was finishing her make-up for an invite only New Year's Eve get-together with Pamela and Amelia. She had decided to wear a retro flapper's dress for the occasion. Something that was thin enough that the humid heat of the Amazon wouldn't bother her (and was made of a material that was eco-friendly).
She had finished curling and styling up her hair. And was just putting on some lipstick and eyeshadow while she waited for Amelia to arrive at her place.

"Can you put it behind you?" Pamela asks.

There's more to it than that, but everything else calls back to her fight with Blaze. That's not what Harley and Red are asking about, and so Amelia won't comment on it. As far as the rogue is concerned, there's nothing more to worry about between herself and the other women in the room, and that's all she needs to know right now.

Everything else can wait. She didn't bring it up, so she doesn't want to talk about it. The itch for more violence is passive beneath bandages and slightly dulled pain, and her anger is momentarily abated. Nothing else matters right now.

"As mentioned, you can settle here anytime."

"Twenty bucks she falls out the window." Pamela says to Amelia.

And then she misjudges her balance and falls out of the window.
Pamela, laughing, decides that she might as well give Harley what she wanted and make sure that Amelia also wins her bet. And with a gesture of her finger, the vine lets go of the moss ball. And after Harley lands, she catches it and holds it up with success.

Now certain Harley is all right, the rogue turns back to Red with a smirk on her face. "I don't know if I truly won or if Harley got help, but let's not worry about exchanging money. We can call it even when I come back to stay for a few days around the start of Spring? You can even put me to work a little around the garden if you like."

"Oh yes, there is lots to do before spring." Pamela nods.
When Harley places the moss ball on the table, Pamela gestures to the two women to step back. Then she gently touches the moss ball. It opens and releases hundreds of glow butterflies into the room.

As the moss ball opens and the butterflies fill the room, though, all thoughts of violence and frustrating fights fall from her mind. It's a spectacular, magical sight unlike anything she's ever experienced, and her lips tug into a bright smile as she looks around. Carefully, she extends a hand toward one of the butterflies, not reaching for it but still testing the air around it, then holds it out palm up among the softly glowing creatures.
"Worth the wait?" she asks Harley. "They're certainly bright and beautiful enough to fit the description you mentioned earlier."

Harley stares up at the butterflies, raising her hands in the air. One does land on Amelia's extended hand.
"Thank you. I have cared for them for months now."
