Playtime with the Girls (open post)
Harley has been a little restless the past month or so. While there is still some random jobs she gets from the Nexus, and from her world, it really has not been keeping her busy enough. And she needs a distraction. A distraction from the bad stuff that went down in her life … and just needs to surround herself with good friends. And a party.
So she decides to throw a "Girls Only" night at her Coney Island roller derby. She gets the place set up with decorations, lots of liquor, and lots of food. There is a place for people to get up and sing karaoke in one corner. And a quieter couch area in another corner.
The main focus is on the roller derby rink itself, where Harley is currently skating a few rounds.
She convinced a certain Angel messenger to deliver the invites out to as far as he could, so anyone from the Nexus could drop on by. The only rule of the night... was this was a Girls Night only.

She dresses like the pirate queen she is - red longcoat with sparkles added by Alex, her usual tricorned cap, a dress underneath the coat instead of her usual pants. She's dressing fancy. It's a party, after all.
There are some people she hopes stop by, including a certain angel and a certain fellow captain. Right now skekSa's hanging over with the drinks, occasionally swigging from a flask of nectarwine that's tied to her belt. She brought a few bottles herself, her own contribution to Harley's stock.

Her hair is up in the usual braids, still tall, but nervous. Only Lucifer and Galahad had seen him in this form. She needs a drink and goes directly to the bar to get a bottle of whiskey.

Taking into account the varied events for the evening, Delia's wearing shorts, sandals, and a shirt with some Klingon writing on it (probably some phrase about glory or honor or similar), and can be found basically, well. Anywhere.

"Are you having a good time?"

She gives a soft laugh as she offers Delia a clawed hand in greeting. "You're dressed to kill, lass. I had my longcoat touched up by the local tailor, so it looks better than ever. Even if I do say so myself. He's good at what he does."

She's delighted to see Harley, of course, but doesn't want to monopolize her host's time. So for now, she'll just shuffle on her skates by the wall until she works up the nerve to introduce herself to someone. Anyone.
Yep. Any time now...

The Mariner doesn't go skating, mostly because the skates are designed for human feet, not Skeksis ones. But she gives a small smile when she greets the stranger. A new face, at least for her.
"Hello, lass - haven't seen you around before. You can call me Captain skekSa. I'm relatively new around here, though the Nexus is a boon to an explorer like me. So I figure I'll be spending a lot of time here as of late." She indicates her clawed feet. "Skates aren't built for my people, I'm afraid. I tried putting some on a while ago."

"Hi Adia," Amelia calls out, smiling nervously as she comes to a stop so she can wave at her friend. "It's great to see you here. I was wondering how many people I would recognize tonight." There are other faces here that she knows, but familiarity is key when the rogue is feeling so out of sorts.

Her dress places her solidly in the 50s flared poodle skirt, little sweater and curled hair. She doesn't know what to expect but comes in to rent skates. The derby looks too much for her but some time on wheels again will make her night better.

Or until she gives up on trying again altogether and puts her boots back on. At this point, she's not sure which will come first at this point, but she's glad she took Alex's advice to "dress down" a bit for the evening. The jeans are far more forgiving to her falls than her usual wardrobe would be.
